Get Sweet
Last updated: 12 September 2026
These terms are the contract between you and Get Sweet when you use getsweet.co.uk, including the holding page, any newsletter sign-up, and the shop when it is taking orders. Please read them before you buy anything or create an account. By using the site you agree to them.
Get Sweet is the trading name of the sweet shop at getsweet.co.uk. We pack to order in Essex and trade from 57 Ridings Avenue, Great Notley, Braintree CM77 7ZP.
Email: hello@getsweet.co.uk
We are not VAT registered. Prices are in pounds sterling and are the full price you pay.
We are building this website. Parts of it may be a holding page, previews, or a live shop. These terms apply to all of it. Features such as accounts, baskets and checkout are described so they apply as soon as they are switched on. If a page is not yet available, you cannot place an order on it until we say it is live.
Our privacy policy and cookie policy sit alongside these terms.
You may use the site for your own personal, household shopping. You must not misuse it, try to break it, scrape it in bulk, introduce malware, or use it for anything unlawful.
You should be 18 or over to create an account. Parents and guardians may order for their household, including children. The site is not aimed at children creating their own accounts.
We may suspend or stop access if we reasonably think these terms have been broken, or if we need to protect the site, other customers or our business.
You can shop as a guest. You do not have to create an account to check out.
If you create an account, the details you give must be true and kept up to date. You are responsible for your password and for what happens on the account. Tell us at hello@getsweet.co.uk if you think someone else has used it.
You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We will delete or anonymise account details we no longer need. We may keep order, payment and tax records for as long as the law requires, as explained in the privacy policy.
We may close an account if it is unused for a long time, if it was created with false details, or if we reasonably believe it has been abused. We will email you where we can.
When you place an order you are offering to buy the goods at the price shown. We accept that offer when we send an order confirmation, or when we take payment and start packing, whichever happens first. Until then we may decline an order (for example if something is out of stock, we cannot deliver to the address, payment fails, or we spot an obvious pricing error).
Sweet Pouches and other packed-to-order items are made to your choices. If you do not give a selection where one is needed, we may pack a reasonable mix of popular sweets and that is what you have ordered.
We may refuse or cancel an order that looks like wholesale dealing, resale, or anything else that is not household use.
Prices are in GBP. Delivery or collection charges, if any, are shown before you pay. Offers and prices can change at any time until we accept your order.
If we have made an obvious mistake on a price (for example a £25 item shown as £2.50), we do not have to fulfil the order at the wrong price. We will cancel it and refund you if you have already paid.
Payment is taken by Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by us. By paying you also agree to Stripe’s terms with them. The order is not complete until payment has cleared.
Promo codes can be withdrawn, limited to one per order, and refused if we reasonably think they have been misused.
We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only. We do not deliver outside the UK.
You can also collect from 57 Ridings Avenue, Great Notley, Braintree CM77 7ZP. Collection is by arrangement — we will agree a time after you order. Please bring your order confirmation. If someone else collects for you, tell us in advance.
Any dispatch or delivery dates we give are estimates. We will not be in breach solely because a courier is late, but if there is an unreasonable delay you can contact us and we will put it right, including a refund where the law says you are entitled to one.
Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave (or to the person who accepts them there) or when you collect them. If a parcel is marked delivered and you cannot find it, contact us promptly and we will raise it with the courier.
You are responsible for giving a complete, accurate UK address and for being able to take the delivery. Extra courier charges caused by a wrong address may be passed on, or we may refund the goods less those costs if we cannot redeliver.
If you are a consumer buying at a distance, you usually have 14 days to cancel after the goods are delivered, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. That is on top of your rights if something is faulty.
The 14-day right does not apply to:
Sealed, unused goods that are not in those lists (for example an unopened drink where that description applies) may still be cancelled within 14 days. Email hello@getsweet.co.uk and we will tell you how to return them. You must look after the goods and send them back without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after you tell us you are cancelling. You pay the return postage unless we agree otherwise or the item is faulty.
We refund using the same payment method, including standard delivery charged on the order, within 14 days of getting the goods back or proof of return. We may wait until then. We can deduct if the goods are diminished in value because they were handled more than needed to check them.
You can cancel before dispatch at any time for a full refund, unless packing of a made-to-order mix has already started — in that case we will be fair and refund what we reasonably can.
Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. Goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they are not, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on how long you have had them and what has gone wrong.
Tell us as soon as you reasonably can, with your order details and photos if you have them. Email hello@getsweet.co.uk. We will not ask you to pay return postage for goods that are faulty or not as described.
Melted, crushed or delayed parcels should be reported promptly. Food that has been stored or handled in a way we cannot control after delivery is a different matter — we will still listen and do what is fair.
Sweets, treats and drinks can contain or carry allergens (including nuts, milk, gluten, soya, sulphites and others). We pack to order in a kitchen that handles a mix of products, so we cannot promise that any item is free from traces.
We give allergen and ingredient information on product pages as accurately as we can. It is your responsibility to read it before you buy, especially if you or anyone in your household has an allergy or intolerance. If you are not sure, email us before you order. Do not eat a product if you cannot confirm it is suitable.
Recipes and packaging from suppliers can change. If that happens we will update the site when we know. If a change is material and you have an unused item, contact us.
If you join the mailing list we send a confirmation email first and only add you when you confirm. You can unsubscribe at any time. Detail is in the privacy policy.
The Get Sweet name, logo, site design, copy and photos are ours (or used with permission). You may not copy them for commercial use without our written say-so. You may share a page of the shop in the ordinary way.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, loss of profit, loss of business, or any other loss that is not a natural result of us breaking this contract, when you are using the site as a consumer for household purposes.
If goods are not delivered or are not as they should be, our responsibility is to refund, replace or otherwise put it right as the Consumer Rights Act requires. We are not responsible for how a third-party payment, hosting or courier service fails except to the extent the law says we still are.
We are not in breach if we are stopped by events outside our reasonable control (including courier failure, supplier shortage, illness, power or network cuts, or legal restrictions). We will tell you and catch up or refund as soon as we reasonably can.
Email hello@getsweet.co.uk and we will try to sort it. You can also get free help from Citizens Advice. If we cannot agree, you may use the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings there.
We may update these terms. The date at the top is the current version. Changes apply to new visits and new orders. They do not change a contract we have already accepted, unless the law requires it or you agree.
We may change products, prices, delivery options and the look of the site without notice, except where we have already accepted your order.
If a court says one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your order or account without our agreement. We may transfer this contract if it does not reduce your consumer rights.
These terms, together with the checkout details of your order and the privacy and cookie policies, are the whole agreement for use of the site and for purchases from it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. That does not take away protections you have as a consumer in the UK nation where you live.
